Shipping and Returns
Live Fish Freight – Australian Air Express. Quoted per Box. We will let you know how many boxes it will take to ship your fish.
At The Great Amazon, we use either Qantas Australian Air Express or Virgin to ship your fish to you (usually takes 12-24 hours in transit).
When we drop off your fish at Qantas Australian Air Express or Virgin, an Air way bill consignment number will be given to us. We will then SMS (if mobile number is provided)/Email you the details, which will include approximate arrival time. It will then be up to you to pick up your order once it arrives. Australian Air Express or Virgin should give you a call once it arrives, however, their details will be provided for you to call up if you’re concern about your fish.
Total freight cost for any amount of live fish is a rate of depends on quote per box (this includes packaging and handling, to anywhere in Australia. In cooler weather condition, we will use specialised heat packs to ensure your fish are kept at a consistent temperature during transit.
We have over a decade of experience in packaging and air freighting live fish. Our packing will ensure that your fish will have ample oxygen and will arrive to safe and healthy.
We offer all our products (excluding live fish) with a $9.95 flat rate for standard postage.
All products under 3kg, will arrive in an Australian post bag. If it’s greater than 3kg, it’ll arrive in a post box. For bulky items, a courier service will be used to deliver your products. If you want peace of mind and express delivery, we can cater this for you, please choose express postage at check-out. All prices on our site are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD), and will be charged in Australian Dollars. We only ship in AUSTRALIA. Certain fish we cannot freight to Perth, please check with us first before placing your order if you are from Perth.
Shipping within Australia will take approximately 2-7 working days, depending on what state or territory you live in.
*Please note, we do not ship internationally. However, you can have your items delivered to any Australian Address (No PO Box address please for live fish).
Once your item is in the post, we will email you with a tracking number that you can track through Australia post.
NT Customers – You’ll need a permit before we can ship any fish. This is your own responsibility.
TAS customers – You’re only able to order products, no live fish.
